Parkton, NC - PARKTON, NC (WMBF) - 11 pounds of marijuana plants were found in an empty home after police looked through a broken window.
The house, which had heat lamps, air and water filtration, and 65 hanging plants, was being used as a pot-growing operation building. The building, which has no apparent residents, did have running water and electricity. It was also reported that the doors and windows were barricaded.
Deputies arrived in response to a breaking and entering call on 108 Plateau Lane. That is when they noticed the broken window. The plants, which were visible through the window, lead to a search warrant to enter the home.
