Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The annual Home Show is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a spotlight on green products, and the three-day show will be powered entirely off green energy.
The Home Show 2010, which is sponsored by the Horry Georgetown Home Builders Association, has purchased renewable green power from Santee Cooper to meet all of the needs for the May 21-23 event, including its Green Expo, community service events, workshops and seminars, all at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
"For 30 years, Home Show has been introducing homeowners to the best products available for a comfortable lifestyle, and it only makes sense that we would include Santee Cooper Green Power as one of those products," said Rose Anne O'Reilly, executive vice president of the Horry Georgetown Home Builders Association. "We want to lead by example, of course, and so we're glad to have the opportunity to power Home Show 2010 with the same Green Power we'll be promoting to vendors and attendees."
Santee Cooper generates 21 megawatts of renewable green power from clean, renewable energy sources including landfill biogas and solar power.
