Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Next week is in honor of those who are the heart and should of the Myrtle Beach area's business community, according to the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association.
Area municipalities have issued resolutions that declare April 11-17 as Frontline Employees Week. The week has been set aside to recognize the contributions of more than 72,000 frontline workers and to provide activities and services designed to enhance their careers.
During the week, frontline employees can pick up a bag filled with member discounts and other offers at the MBACC.
Each weekday a frontline employee representing various aspects of the tourism industry - lodging, dining and golf - will be featured on MyrtleBeachAreaChamber.com.
The following employees were selected from member nominations:
- April 12: Salsaritas Fresh Cantina staff
- April 13: Rich Bartram, assistant golf professional, Barefoot Resort & Golf
- April 14: Sandie Custer, guest service agent, Hampton Inn Broadway at the Beach
- April 15: Deborah McIlrath, bartender, Chili's Grill & Bar (4401 N. Kings Hwy.)
- April 16: Esther Gilden, concierge, Lakewood Camping Resort
Carl Elliott with C.E. Elliott & Associates will present "Customer Service that Delivers Value and Team Success" from 2-5 p.m. April 15 at the MBACC. The seminar is free to members and costs $10 for nonmembers.
The MBACC is honoring its frontline employees, those who work in MBACC visitor centers, by treating them to lunch with MBACC President/CEO Brad Dean and an evening outing, recognizing them on the video wall in the front lobby and employee bulletin board, surprising them daily with treats and publishing their profiles in the Grand Strander, the chamber newsletter.
