Darlington, SC - DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) - Bond has been set at $150,000 for a 25-year-old who deputies arrested Monday on theft and drug charges in Darlington County.

Brent Van Dyke Mark, 25, of Hartsville, turned himself into the Darlington County Sheriff's Office just after 3:15 p.m. Monday after he was tagged as a suspect in an investigation into a large theft and drug ring.

Mark was charged with one count of trafficking cocaine, one count of possession of stolen goods less than $1,000, two counts of possession of a stolen pistol, three counts of violation of a chop shop and four counts of possession of a stolen vehicle.

Darlington County deputies and agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division seized nearly a pound of cocaine, assault rifles and hand guns during an investigation that began at a home in the 900 block of Brentwood Drive in the Lydia area of Darlington County.

Deputies served a search warrant where officials believed a stolen motorcycle was being held. At the home, investigators found the drugs, 22 high-powered assault rifles and hand guns, drug packaging materials and the stolen motorcycle.

Investigators found two more stolen motorcycles at a second location in the 1800 block of South Fifth Street.
