WMBF News launches new entertainment channel

Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - WMBF News has launched ThisTV, a new entertainment channel for the Grand Strand and Pee Dee, on its digital multicast channel.

ThisTV is a 24-hour-a-day network from MGM Domestic Television and Chicago-based Weigel Broadcasting. Most of the broadcast day features movies from the extensive film libraries of MGM, United Artists, Orion Pictures, Polygram, Cannon and Samuel Goldwyn Films. ThisTV also carries classic television series, including "Mister Ed," "The Patty Duke Show," "Sea Hunt," and "The Outer Limits."

In a typical week, ThisTV airs more than 50 different films from the 2000s back to the 1940s. Complete program listings are available at http://myrtlebeach.thistv.com/.

WMBF News broadcasts ThisTV over the air on channel 32.2 throughout the eight-county Myrtle Beach/Florence television market. The network will also be available on the following channels:

  • Time Warner Digital Cable: Channel 807
  • Time Warner Digital Cable (Lumberton): Channel 216
  • MetroCast Cable (Bennettsville): Channel 102
  • HTC: Channel 94

ThisTV has been on the air since November 2008 and now has more than 100 local affiliates in cities nationwide.
