1 arrested following Little River bank robbery

Little River, SC - LITTLE RIVER, SC (WMBF) - Horry County Police have charged a North Myrtle Beach man with robbing a Little River bank early Monday morning.

Officers were called to the BB&T Bank located at 2496 Highway 9 in Little River around 1 a.m., where they found smashed glass at the front door and saw suspects running into a wooded area nearby.

Officers began scouring the area and called for a bloodhound tracking team for assistance. One of the suspects was traced into the woods and arrested.

Adrian Dewayne McCoy, 29, was arrested and booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center on charges of second degree burglary, grand larceny over $5,000, malicious damage to property and safecracking.

The investigation is continuing, with additional arrests possible.  It is unknown at this time how much money was taken from the bank.
