AIKEN, S.C. - The nationally-ranked Francis Marion University men's and women's tennis teams claimed a pair of Peach Belt Conference road wins against USC Aiken on Saturday (April 3) at the USCA Tennis Complex.
The 15th-ranked FMU men edged the 17th-ranked Pacers 5-4 by winning four of six singles matches. The 13th-ranked Patriot women won 7-2.
The Patriot men are now 9-4 overall and 5-3 in the PBC, while women are 12-3 and 8-2.
In the men's match, USCA won two of the three doubles matches, before Francis Marion rallied with straight-set wins at singles spots No. 1, 2, 4, and 5.
The Patriot women will play host to UNC Pembroke on Wednesday at 3 p.m. and both FMU squads will travel to South Carolina State University next Saturday.
