LAKE CITY, SC (WMBF) – Lake City High School head football coach Justin Gentry is leaving the Panthers to become the new head coach at Chapin High School.

Gentry spent six years at Lake City, leading the Panthers to several impressive seasons recently.  This past year they fell to Marlboro County 26-21 in the Lower State semifinals of the Class 3A playoffs.

Gentry will replace Scott Earley at Chapin High School.  Earley came to Chapin from Myrtle Beach High School. He left Chapin to become head coach at Lexington High School.
