WMBF News takes 9 AP awards

COLUMBIA, SC (WMBF) - WMBF News has been recognized in nine areas for excellence by the South Carolina Associated Press, including Best Newscast for WMBF News at 5:30.

WMBF News took first and second in Investigative Reporting for Tracking Sex Offenders and Safe to Sell, as well as first and second in Business/Consumer Reporting for Misleading Mileage and Swiped.

The station also took honors in the Documentary category for its special Surviving the Storm, in Sports Reporting for Christmas Shopping, in Series for Safe to Sell, and in Education Reporting for Bulletproof Backpacks.
