Easter chocolate can be good for you

(NBC) - If you're expecting a visit from the Easter bunny, you don't have to completely shy away from what he leaves behind.

New research gives us a good excuse to indulge in a little chocolate this weekend.

German researchers studied nearly 20,000 people over a decade and found those who ate the most chocolate had lower blood pressure and a 40 percent reduced risk for having a heart attack or stroke.

Researchers did not ask what kind of chocolate participants ate, but they say darker chocolate has more heart-healthy flavonoids.
