Man robbed at gunpoint on Ocean Boulevard

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Police say a man was robbed at gunpoint early Sunday morning as he was walking along Ocean boulevard in Myrtle Beach.

According to a report from the Myrtle Beach Police Department, the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. in an area near the Ocean Park Motel. The victim, a 19-year-old from Lexington, SC, told police six men robbed him at gunpoint after approaching him in a gold Crown Victoria car.

Four men got out of the vehicle and one pointed a gun at the teen, demanding him to give up his money. The driver of the vehicle took all of the money out of calhoun's wallet.

A second Crown Victoria, black in color, then pulled up to the scene as the teen's money was being taken. The teen told police both victims fled from the scene, traveling northbound on Ocean Boulevard.
