Williams announces plans to defend Florence City Council seat

Florence, SC - FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - A 25-year veteran member of the Florence City Council has announced plans to defend his District 1 seat in the upcoming 2010 city council election.

Billy D. Williams made the announcement in a Monday press release, vowing to continue fighting for better housing, health care and education for the people of Florence.

Should Williams be re-elected to his position on the Florence City Council, he says he will follow through with plans to complete the Williams Heights affordable housing subdivision. When completed, the project is expected to bring 30 new affordable housing units to Florence.
