Fire damages camper at MB campgrounds

Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - An early evening fire created a brief scare at the Ocean Lakes Family Campgrounds in Myrtle Beach on Sunday.

Firefighters were called to Octopus Drive shortly before 5 p.m. on reports of smoke billowing from an unoccupied trailer. A spokeswoman for the campgrounds says while the trailer suffered interior damage, the exterior was left untouched.

Fire officials have not released what sparked the fire. No other trailers were threatened or damaged in the incident.
