2-car accident in Myrtle Beach litters road with debris

Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A large group of responders were called to the scene of a two car accident on Robert Grissom Parkway and 17th Avenue South Saturday.

The accident occurred just before noon when a silver Jeep Cherokee collided with a black Ford SUV. Police say two people were ejected from the vehicles.

Two people were taken to the hospital and at least one person was suffering life-threatening conditions. Several others were treated for minor injuries.

Among the first on the scene were Myrtle Beach Fire and Rescue along with the Myrtle Beach Police Beach Patrol.

Police say the cause of the accident was most likely disregarding a stop sign, but the incident is still under investigation.
