CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina University women's tennis team continued its perfect run at home this year, moving to 10-0 at home with a 7-0 victory over North Carolina A&T, March 26.
With the victory, the Chanticleers moved to 13-3 on the year, while the Aggies fell to 2-13.
Coastal swept all three doubles matches for the first point of the day, losing just four games in the victories. Then in singles, the Chants took all six matches in straight sets, with the closest a 6-2, 6-4 victory by Lexi Bolesky over Winnie Quick at No. 1. Coastal gave up three games or less in the remaining five matches.
"This was good to get some playing in for everyone," Head Coach Jody Davis said. "The girls played well. We are looking forward to some great competition next week in conference play."
The Chants return to the court on Wednesday, March 31, heading down the coast to take on No. 58 Charleston Southern in a key Big South Conference matchup. The match is scheduled for a 2:30 start.
