ATHENS, GREECE (NBC) - Workers at a Greek shoe factory haven't been paid since December of last year but they're continuing to show up to work everyday.
Maria Anastaopoulou along with her fellow workers come to work at the Elida Shoe Factory everyday. They don't know if the factory is closed or just temporarily shutdown. They're afraid that the owner has closed the place, he'll sell the machinery without paying him.
The Greek economy continues to suffer along with other world markets. The shoe workers hope a union negotiation might be able to help revive their factory.
