GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) - It's been a sad story so far for Matty at the St. Frances Animal Center, but we hope you'll consider being a part of his happing ending!
Matty was brought to the shelter a few weeks ago with his fur matted and fleas attacking his little body. The St. Frances staff did a wonderful job cleaning him up and nursing him back to health.
Aside from a skin condition that happened as a result of the fleas, Matty is happy and healthy. He is a Shih Tzu mix and still a puppy. Shelter workers estimate him to be about 9 months old.
Matty is very loving and is in a foster home, where he appears to be getting along with two cats and a 7-year-old child. He would do well around a family, children or other pets.
If you would like to visit Matty or make him a part of your family, please call the St. Frances Animal Center at (843) 546-0780.
