North Myrtle Beach, SC - NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - More than 200 people showed up to Thursday night's citizen's association meeting in North Myrtle Beach with a chance to air out their frustrations about how the city is run.
Some say police officers are also acting as firefighters, and want to know why. Others spoke out against the 1-cent tourism tax.
Most are still questioning former Public Safety Director William Bailey, and want to know why, according to city officials, he misled them about how his stolen gun had been stored.
"I understand how they feel under the information they have," Bailey said. "I can understand some of [the questions]. I'm here to support these individuals because I do love this community, and they have a right to their opinion."
North Myrtle Beach City Council member Doris Williams was the only member of the council at the meeting.
