Skunk stuck in sticky situation rescued by wildlife official

Grand Junction, CO - (NBC) – A skunk had to be rescued by the Division of Wildlife after getting caught in sticky situation.

The skunk was sitting in the middle of the road in Grand Junction, CO, for hours with a peanut butter jar stuck on its head. At around 10 a.m., District Wildlife Manager Paul Creeden came to his rescue.

Creeden was trying to move the skunk out of the way of cars when all of the sudden, and luckily, the jar just slipped off his head.

The freed skunk took off running and sought refuge in the backyard of a nearby home.

The Division of Wildlife says it's common for skunks to get into trash but want to remind folks not to litter and secure their trash.
