HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The 2010 Census is in full gear and now those who have questions about the 10-question form will have the help of assistance centers set up across the Grand Strand and Pee Dee.
All across the Grand Strand and Pee Dee, there are about 130 locations that will be open.
Horry County spokeswoman Lisa Bourcier says these questionnaire assistance centers are important to help raise the return rate of forms in the area.
"The key to those centers are people that have questions about the forms," said Bourcier. "People that need assistance filling out those forms need to come to these locations. People who didn't get a form can also pick up a form and they can be accepted at those locations as well."
Bourcier also adds that these locations are convenient.
"They're at grocery stores. They're at tax places. They're at your library. They're at the community center. They're at the senior centers," explained Bourcier. "They actually picked very good locations, very welcoming locations that the public will feel comfortable coming and asking those personal questions."
County leaders across the state are hoping that people with questions will go to one of these assistance centers so that they will be able to turn in their form in and be counted.
The assistance centers open March 19 and go until April 19.
