Charging for the exit row

(NBC) - Continental Airlines is joining other legacy carriers in charging for extra leg-room on their aircraft's exit rows.

Passengers who buy the exit row seats will get at least seven more inches of space.

For Continental's ElitePass frequent flier members, those seats will be available at no additional charge. Continental also announced plans to stop offering free meals on their flights in an effort to raise extra revenue.
