MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - If you've ever wanted a taste of what it feels like to be the King of Rock n' Roll, Legends In Concert is now giving you that chance.

The Myrtle Beach-area attraction has announced it has been officially licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. to produce the 3rd annual preliminary contest at its theater. The contest will be held on March 20 at 7 p.m. and the winner will qualify for the honor of participating in the 2010 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest in Memphis, TN.

Launched in August 2007, the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest in Memphis is the highlight of Elvis Week activities, which last year attracted more than 70,000 fans from all over the world.  Legends is also pleased to announce that the first  year's winner was Shawn Klush, who was the featured Elvis on the Myrtle Beach Legends Stage from 1997 – 2003.

"Legends has featured remarkably talented Elvis tribute artists in our shows worldwide for 25 plus years and we are thankful for EPE's direction to now encourage and embrace these gifted entertainers," said Chris Beattie, regional general manager.

The winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize and be eligible to compete for the coveted title of Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist of the Year.
