Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A celebration to honor Chick-fil-A restaurant operators and employees in March will be highlighted with a "Camp Out with the Cows" event.
The Chick-fil-A drive-thru at Myrtle Beach will celebrate its 15th anniversary from 12:01 a.m. to 10 p.m. on March 23. The event, according to organizers, will include free food, changes to meet and take photos with the Chick-fil-A cows, prizes and games throughout the day.
The first 100 adults who come to camp out with the cows will win a variety of Chick-fil-A food items.
There will be a special tribute to the late John W. Shaw, founding Operator, including a ceremony with Myrtle Beach Mayor John Rhodes. A commemorative plaque emblazoned with Shaw's favorite saying – "Everything's gonna be alright" – will be placed at the base of the restaurant's flagpole.
"We're grateful to the Myrtle Beach community for its support and enthusiasm for eating more chicken over the past 15 years," said restaurant Operator Tony Birch. "We hope our friends and neighbors will join us in celebrating this milestone."
