Florence-Darlington Technical College sponsors ethics debate

Florence, SC - FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – The FDTC Stingers will sponsor its annual Panel Discussion and Debate on Ethics from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 10 on Florence-Darlington's main campus in the Fred Fore Auditorium.

The debate this year is entitled, "Ethical Issues in Today's World."

Andrew Kampiziones, FDTC instructor of philosophy, will be the moderator and is also founder of the series. Topics to be discussed include: Ethics in Education, Ethics and the Law, Ethics regarding Moral and Social Issues and Pharmaceutical and Business Ethics.

Participants will include Dr. Dale Doty, vice president of academic affairs at Florence-Darlington Technical College; Dr. Frank Cox, president and general manager of Roche Carolina Inc.; Dr. Allie Brooks, a retired SC educator; and Mark Buyck, an attorney with Willcox, Buyck and Williams law firm.

Kampiziones founded the debates to raise ethical and moral questions. Students, faculty, staff and visitors are encouraged to participate in the panel discussion and debate.
