St. Patty’s Day 2010 to benefit Special Olympics

Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Ocean Merchant Association will be sponsoring a St. Patrick's 2010 celebration to benefit the Horry County Special Olympics.

The event will take place from 1-11 p.m. March 13 between Eighth Avenue North and Mr. Joe White Avenue on Ocean Boulevard. Admission to the event is free, and a portion of all proceeds will benefit the Horry County Special Olympics.

Several bands will provide entertainment, including Cracker, Drivin' and Cryin', Mark Bryan from Hootie and the Blowfish and special guests, Parmalee, Jonas Sees in Color, Lee Travis and the Bounty Hunters, The Blue Dogs and Root Soul Project.

The Myrtle Beach Pipe and Drum Corp will have strolling bagpipes and there will be a large Kidz Zone with entertainment, inflatable's and fun activities.
