MARLBORO COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A man has died after being shocked and falling 13 stories at the Marlboro County High School stadium Tuesday morning.

According to the Bennettsville Police Department, John Christopher Touchberry, 36, of Florence, was changing the lightbulbs at the high school's stadium on a lighting tower platform when he was electrocuted around 11:45 a.m.  Touchberry was an employee with Touchberry Crane Service.

After being electrocuted, police say he fell an estimated 13 stories.  Touchberry was pronounced dead at the scene.

Touchberry's body has been sent to the Marlboro Park Hospital for an autopsy to confirm an exact cause of death, but police do believe it was from the electrocution.
