CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Emmy nominees Michael Emerson of "Lost" and Carrie Preston of "True Blood" are performing at a show staged by a South Carolina theater company.

The stars appear Saturday at the Dock Street Theatre in Charleston at an event celebrating Charleston Stage's new season at the theater.

The two stars appear at a reception and then stage a reading of A.R. Gurney's play "Love Letters."

The Dock Street, in Charleston's historic district on the site of the nation's first theater, reopened earlier this year after an $18 million renovation.

Charleston Stage, a professional theater company founded by playwright Julian Wiles in 1978, has presented more than 150 productions over the years seen by more than 1 million theatergoers.
