MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A local musicians group is sponsoring a benefit for the Boys and Girls Club of the Grand Strand.

The Myrtle Beach Musicians Network is sponsoring a charity event which will include a barbeque, concert and musical equipment drive.

This event is also being held in cooperation with Horry County Schools Adult & Community Education Program.

The event will take place August 1, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Longbeard's Bar & Grill.

The public is encouraged to donate new and used instruments and equipment. The donated instruments and $10 barbeque tickets will provide the children of the Boys and Girls Club music classes and private lessons.
