ROBESON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Investigators in Robeson County say one person has been arrested in connection to the 2008 death of Jeremey Locklair, whose body was found alongside a road in Robeson County.

On Wednesday, police arrested Michelle Leigh Pinck at the Bladen County Courthouse and charged her with first degree murder and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon in connection to Locklair's death. Information gathered during the nearly two-year investigation led to Pinck's arrest.

Investigators say on Aug. 31, 2008, Locklair, of Lumberton, left Club N Motion and was picked up by a female. The two traveled out Old Whiteville Road, near Highway 72 East, when a male suspect appeared from the back of the vehicle and attempted to rob Locklair.

As Locklair was lying beside the road after being assaulted, he made a 911 call to police, giving information regarding his harassers and the vehicle involved in the incident.

Investigators have reason to believe more people are involved the events leading up to Locklair's death, and are actively seeking the identification of those suspects. Locklair's family is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the prosecution of additional suspects. St. Paul's CrimeStoppers is also offering a $400 reward towards the ongoing investigation.

Anyone with information on the case can call Lt. Reggie Strickland at the Robeson County Sheriff's Office at 910-671-3182 or St. Paul's Crime Stoppers at 910-865-8477.
