Wilson High's AFJROTC earns high praise

FLORENCE, SC – The Wilson High School AFJROTC recently earned some high praise from inspectors.

The AFJROTC Unit SC-051 received an Exceed Standards (Excellent) rating on their unit grade and Exceed Standards (Excellent) rating on their Cadet Operations. The unit's overall rating was Exceed Standards (ES) during a January 27 inspection by the HQ AFJROTC/Inspections Branch of the Maxwell Air Force Base.

The high rating means that the unit is now eligible to qualify for a "Distinguished Unit with Merit" award at this year's award banquet. Lt. Gen. (Ret) Charles W. Bagnal has accepted an invitation to be the annual motivational speaker for the banquet, which will be held at the VFW Hut on May 6.

The next inspection is tentatively scheduled for sometime between January and March of 2013.
