MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Myrtle Beach international Airport took a step closer to opening the new general aviation terminal after tearing down the old terminal on Monday.
The demolition was delayed after crews had to remove asbestos from the building. Once the spot was cleared, wrecking crews tore the building down.
Once it is completely cleared, a passenger drop off area and a new parking lot will be built in its place for the new terminal.
The grand opening is scheduled for May.
