Group looks to develop governmental meetings

LAURINBURG, NC (WMBF) – Members of the Laurinburg/Scotland County Area Chamber of Commerce plan to meet this week to start work to develop a program of work.

The Governmental Affairs Committee will hold its first meeting, where topics are set to include sponsoring a state legislative event, state capital visit, and the Washington fly-in. The group will also talk about several topics relevant to Chamber members and the position on those.

The first meeting will take place at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11 at 4 p.m. in Laurinburg. For more information, contact Matt Kendall at the chamber of commerce at mkendall@laurinburgchamber.com.
