
FAIRMONT, NC (WMBF) - A 21-year-old man is dead and two others are injured following a shooting Monday morning in North Carolina.
Maj. Branch of the Robeson County Sheriff's Office says police in Fairmont responded to a shooting just before 2 a.m., where they found the 21-year-old dead inside of a Dodge Charger along Liberia Street. Investigators believe the incident occurred on Howard Circle, outside of the town of Fairmont.
The victim, later identified as Jaron Blue, was among two other wounded men who were discovered inside of the vehicle by first responders.
Branch confirms Hykeem Jamel Stephens, 20, of Fairmont, received gunshot wounds in both legs, and Fred Faulk, 21, also of Fairmont, received a hand injury. Stephens was immediately transported to a local hospital to receive treatment.
So far, no suspects have been identified in the early morning shooting. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Robeson County Sheriff's Office Immediately.
