MARION COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Ten people are behind bars in Marion County Friday, following a massive drug round-up by the Marion County Combined Drug Unit.
The following people were arrested as a result of multiple drug investigations:
- Blake Buffkin, 25, of Mullins - Charged with simple possession of marijuana
- Christopher J. Davis, 26, of Nichols - Charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, unlawful carrying of a handgun and driving under the suspension
- George D. Gunter, 31, of Mullins - Charged with trafficking in cocaine base and possession with intent to distribute cocaine base within proximity of a school
- Ricky Leon Hardwick, 36, of Mullins - Charged with simple possession of marijuana, driving under suspension, open container and failure to stop for blue light
- La John Hines, 33, of Marion - Charged with distribution of a cocaine base and distribution of cocaine base within proximity of a school
- Marcus L. "Ace" Samuels, 31, of Marion - Charged with distribution of cocaine base and distribution of cocaine base within proximity of a school
- Eric "Fat Boy" Scott, 30, of Marion - Charged with three counts of distribution of cocaine base, three counts of distribution of cocaine base within proximity of a school, possession with intention to distribute cocaine base and possession with intent to distribute marijuana
- Wendell Thompson, 24, of Rains - Charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine base and possession with intent to distribute cocaine base within proximity of a school
- Calvin L. "Slug" Williamson, 25, of Mullins - Charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of a stolen firearm
- Ronald G. "Chuck" Yates, 38, of Mullins - Charged with trafficking in cocaine base and possession with intent to distribute cocaine base within proximity of a school.
Marion County Sheriff Mark Richardson is urging all citizens of Marion County to stand against illegal drugs and to report suspected drug activity to law enforcement.
