Red Cross to host RiverTown Reindeer run in Conway

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - The Red Cross Rescue Racers are holding a 5K run in Conway on Saturday.

The RiverTown Reindeer Race, a 3.1-mile race sponsored by BlueCross/BlueShield of South Carolina will be held at 8 a.m. Dec. 5 in downtown Conway. The certified route takes runners and walkers through residential streets, including Laurel and Elm, in historic Conway. The race begins and ends at the Conway Marina.

Residents are encouraged to join in to cheer the runners on as they pass.

To register online or for a map of the route, visit www.rmssports.com or call 843-477-0020 to pay by credit card. Advance registration is $20; day of race is $25. Race day registration will be held from 7:15-7:45 a.m. with the race starting at 8 a.m. The first 240 runners to sign up will receive a T-shirt!
