NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - An annual event dedicated to making sure all children in Horry County wake up on Christmas morning with a present will be making its way down the Intracoastal Waterway on Saturday.
The 25th Annual Intracoastal Christmas Regatta is slated to kick-off at 5 p.m. at the Little River Inlet. Boats decorated with holiday cheer will make their way down the Intracoastal, eventually arriving at Dock Holidays Marina at 7 p.m.
Viewing areas can be found up and down the Intracoastal Waterway during that time.
The Regatta has become a traditional, festive and unique way for countless Horry County residents and visitors to begin the holiday season. The public is asked to make donations of new, unwrapped toys or monetary offerings to help the event reach its goal of supplying each child in Horry County with a present on Christmas.
