Charity tree offers underprivileged children Christmas gifts

Posted: Updated:

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The Angel Tree at Myrtle Beach Mall allows shoppers to donate presents to disadvantaged children.

Waccamaw Youth Center, a non-profit agency, is hosting the tree in an effort to provide gifts to children from poverty stricken homes.

In addition, they strive to help the adolescents in their care grow past their painful experiences and discover the happiness and security that can be reached through healthy, nurturing relationships.

Donations are asked to be made no later than December 24th. The group is also asking that gifts not be wrapped and that items be new at the time of delivery.
