Dillon deputy faces additional charges following domestic dispute

DILLON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A deputy from the Dillon County Sheriff's Office is facing more charges following his arrest for a domestic dispute in November.

According to an arrest warrant issued by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, Robert Paul Grimsley, 38, of Latta, was accused of grabbing a woman around her neck and kicking her. The warrant alleges the incident occurred on Blue Jay Road in Latta.

On Friday, a second charge was pressed by SLED agents after Grimsley violated a court order of protection.

Grimsley has faces a criminal domestic violence charge. The Dillon County Sheriff's Office has yet to comment on the status of Grimsley with the department.
