Florence Civic Center hosts American Legion Day

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - The Florence Civic Center will host the American Legion Day on Nov. 21 to honor the members of the American Legion and their families.

This event is open to all American Legion members, all US military men and women, as well as the general public. Please join us for this special honoring!

Guest speakers will include:

  • Dave Rehbein - National Commander, American Legion
  • Command Sgt. Maj. Brian M. Stall - CSM Ft. Jackson S.C.
  • Command Sgt. Maj. (Ret) Rick Walden - Veterans Affairs Office, Florence County
  • Major Gen. (Ret) Harry Burchstead - Assistant Adjutant General, SC National Guard
  • Entertainment: Hartsville High School Choir

*There will be a concert performed this same evening by Jason Aldean at 8 p.m. This is a ticketed event. Program begins at 11 a.m., free admission.

This event coincides with “The American Soldier: A Photographic Tribute from the Civil War to Iraq” on display at the Florence Civic Center.
