Signatures Sleighs at Market Common for 2nd year

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Signature Sleighs are at the Market Common starting Nov. 27.

The shopping district will feature the Signatures Sleighs for the second year Nov. 27 through Dec. 23. Myrtle Beach city employees created the sleighs based on historic sleigh designs from the 1800s. Horry County Arts & Cultural Council recruited local businesses to sponsor sleighs as a fundraiser and partnered the sponsors with local artists to paint the sleighs.

The following artists contributed:

Terry Brennan of Artist Tree Studio: One for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and on for North Myrtle Beach Councilman Bob Cavanaugh
Catherine Kresken: Friends of Horry County Arts & Cultural Council
Jean Fowler: Santa's sleigh for The Market Common

All sleighs will be on display and available for family photos throughout the Market Common in Valor Park, in front of King Street Grille, Barnes & Noble, and Grand 14 Cinema beginning Friday, Nov. 27.
