Train accident kills 4 in Hardeeville

HARDEEVILLE, SC (WTOC) - A train wreck involving a passenger train and a car has brought downtown Hardeeville to a standstill.

Area police say at least four people inside of the car died when it was struck by the train. One of the victims, officials say, was an 8-year-old child.

None of the passengers on the train were hurt. All were brought back to Savannah to stay overnight.

The names of the victims have not been released.
