Myrtle Beach Freedom Weekend focuses on Constitution

Posted: Updated:

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Patriot Expo of South Carolina hosted the Myrtle Beach Freedom Weekend at the Sand Dunes Beach Resort in Myrtle Beach.

The weekend was an opportunity for people to set political boundaries aside and listen to authors and scholars to learn about the basic principles of the United States Constitution.

Keynote speaker and author G. Edward Griffin, who has been studying the operation of the federal reserve since the 1960s, addressed many topics from his book Creature from Jekyll Island.

"For the first time, people are asking questions because they know, inevitably, these events are going to affect them in their own pocketbooks but they’re not quite sure how or why," Griffin commented.

The organizers say they want to educate people on the rights and principles that our government was founded on, in hopes that they better understand what is going on in our country today.
