SWANSEA, SC (WMBF) - A 26-year-old Swansea man is facing legal trouble after he was arrested on Tuesday during an internet predator sting by the City of Anderson Police Department.
South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster says William James Delano Keadle, 26, of Swansea, was arrested on one count of criminal solicitation of a minor and one count of attempted criminal sexual conduct with a minor. The charges are punishable with up to 10 and 20 years imprisonment, respectively.
Arrest warrants reveal Keadle began soliciting sex on the internet from a person he believed to be a young girl on Oct. 30. In reality, he was soliciting sex from an undercover Anderson officer.
Keadle arranged to meet the girl for sex at a predetermined location in Anderson. Upon arrival, he was quickly arrested.
The 26-year-old was assigned a bond of $50,000.
