Posted: Updated:

AYNOR, SC (WMBF) - Wiley Robby Taylor has been named mayor of Aynor, following an uncontested race for the town's head position.

Taylor joins Josh Johnson and Tony Godsey Sr. as successful candidates gaining leadership positions in Anyor following Tuesday's election. Aynor residents elected Johnson and Godsey onto the Aynor Town Council.

Johnson received 51 percent of votes for city council, while Godsey reeled in 49 percent. A third candidate, John K. Gardner, was unsuccessful in his run for town council.

Gardner received a total of 32 votes.

Election results will be certified by the Horry County Election Commission on Thursday.
