Posted: Updated:

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - The 2009 Pecan Festival will feature the first annual Blues Bash, as fans of blues will enjoy 14 acts at 11 different locations

The event, according to coordinators, beginsNov. 3 and continuing through Nov. 8.

On Nov. 7, the Florence Downtown Development Corporation will present the 5th Annual Pecan Festival in Downtown Florence.  The Blues Bash will continue and is a new highlight of the festival.

“We are very excited to have this variety and quality of performers here in Florence.  It is a great opportunity for the community and visitors to immerse themselves in the wonderful genre of blues during the festival,” says Tom Marschel, event organizer and president of the Florence Chamber of Commerce.

If you are coming from out of town, both the Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden Inn are offering special “Blues Bash” rates.  Contact the Hampton Inn at (843) 662-7000 and the Hilton at (843) 432-3001 and make sure to ask for the special rate.
