
GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A collision between a pick-up truck and a car has killed one person in Georgetown County, according to Lance Cpl. Bob Beres of the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Beres says the accident occurred just after 7:30 p.m. outside of Andrews on SC 41. A Ford pick-up truck was traveling on the wrong side of SC 41 when it attempted to make a left-hand turn and collided with a Ford Edge.
The driver of the Ford truck, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. A woman and two children occupied the Ford Edge and their conditions are unknown at this time.
Beres says the accident continues to be under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
