MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Friends and family of missing 17-year-old Brittanee Drexel have been plastering Myrtle Beach and now Georgetown County with "missing" flyers, hoping someone knows something about their loved one's disappearance.
While leads grow cold and hopes of the safe recovery of Drexel begin to fade, the Laura Recovery Center for Missing Children are lending their helping hand - in the form of printable flyers that are accessible within the click of a mouse.
On Sunday, two members of the Laura Recovery Center landed in Myrtle Beach, hoping to help track down the teen. That same day, members Dawn Davis and Janice Liggett pitched in on the mass flyer distribution efforts on foot and on the web.
Members of the Myrtle Beach and Georgetown communities can now log onto www.LRCF.org to download and distribute Drexel's flyer that contains information on her disappearance, physical description and emergency contact information.
Officials also say those who are aiding in Drexel's search efforts are on the lookout for a pink cell phone, believed to be owned by the missing teen. Investigators have traced the last known signal to come from Drexel's phone to the Georgetown area.
