BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - A fatal accident in Brunswick County took the life of an 84-year-old woman Monday morning.
According to authorities, Angela Applewhite Bordeaux of Delco was driving on Lanvale Road in Leland and failed to yield when she tried to take an off ramp onto US 74/76.
Troopers say a dump truck crashed into the side of the woman's car on Lanvale Road.
The woman died instantly and the driver of the truck, Donald Ray Tucker, was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
