Loris woman arrested for embezzling $150,000

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - A 62-year-old woman is behind bars Thursday evening in Horry County after police say she embezzled a large amount of money while an employee at a local business.

Bobbie J. Grainger, of Longs, was arrested by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and Loris Police on charges of breach of trust with fraudulent intent and two counts of forgery.  Grainger, who was an office manager for Carolina Linen Systems, took over $150,000 while she worked as an employee of the company.

Arrest warrants say printed and cashed vender checks and employee payroll checks and converted them to personally use. 

According to Solicitor Greg Hembree, Grainger is expected to appear in court to face charges on Dec. 19.
