COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Deputies say Princess Killingsworth tried to run over her boyfriend with a car.
Officials say Killingsworth and her boyfriend were leaving a party on Forestwood Drive this past weekend.
Monique Mack from the Richland County Sheriff's Department says Killingsworth and her boyfriend got in a fight and it escalated to the point where deputies say she struck him with her car.
"The argument lead to the victim leaving and actually walking down the street for what we understand Miss Killingsworth intentionally struck the victim with her vehicle, she drove off at the time," Mack said.
The victim lay partially in the street and in the yard of a home on Forestwood Drive.
Luckily for the victim, a witness flagged down a routine patrol car and the deputy called an ambulance.
The victim was taken to Palmetto Richland Hospital with a broken leg.
Ms. Killingsworth was arrested and put in jail.
"At this time she is being charged with assault and battery at high aggravated nature," Mack said.
Deputies say the case is still under investigation. Killingsworth was not under the influence of alcohol or any other substance.
She is currently at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center and her bond is set at $10,000 dollars.
